Life isn't perfect but your hair can be.

Life Isn’t Perfect, But Your Hair Can Be *I drew this sketch of a woman’s braid a few years ago. A braid may look simple, yet it carries a quiet strength and beauty. Each strand, when woven carefully, becomes part of a harmonious whole. To me, it symbolizes how life is formed — many threads of experience, some smooth and some rough, coming together to make something meaningful.------ *The saying “Life isn’t perfect, but your hair can be” makes me smile every time I read it. True, we cannot control everything in life. There will always be challenges, uncertainties, and imperfections. Yet, we can choose to care for the small details that bring us joy. Something as simple as combing and braiding one’s hair can be an act of self-respect, discipline, and even art.---------- *Through this sketch, I wanted to capture the grace of ordinary beauty. A braid may not change the world, but it can change how we feel about ourselves — neat, composed, and confident. Perhaps that is the secret: perfection is not in life itself, but in the care we give to life’s little things. — Ponnada Murty

'A quiet pause' or 'Silver of Silence' - art work

Silver of Silence A short story : She leaned gently against the railing, her weight shifting onto one leg, the other dangling in quiet ease. Wrapped in her simple sari, she looked out at the morning sky, where soft clouds drifted lazily across the horizon. It was her moment of pause. After the whirlwind of daily chores and unending responsibilities, she allowed herself this sliver of silence. The world behind her was noisy, demanding, insistent—but here, for a few minutes, she was just herself. She thought of dreams left unfinished, of journeys she still wished to take, and of the quiet strength that carried her through each day. There was no audience, no applause—only the soft whisper of the breeze, and the rhythm of her own heartbeat. For her, that was enough. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Here’s a short poetic piece on the subject. one can use with artwork in “She leans into the silence, wrapped in the strength of her sari. The world rushes on, but for a moment, time stands still.” ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “Silver of silence” is not a standard idiom in English. It seems more like a poetic expression. However, it can carry a very beautiful meaning: Silver often symbolizes something precious, rare, and shining. Silence suggests peace, stillness, and reflection. So together, “silver of silence” could mean the precious value of quiet moments, or the beauty found in stillness. She thought of dreams left unfinished, of journeys she still wished to take, and of the quiet strength that carried her through each day. There was no audience, no applause—only the soft whisper of the breeze, and the rhythm of her own heartbeat. For her, that was enough.

Perspective view.. A lesson for art enthusiasts

Perspective View – Simple Q&A for Beginners Q1: What is perspective in drawing? A: Perspective is a way of showing depth and distance in a picture. Q2: Why do artists use perspective? A: It makes drawings look more real and natural. Q3: How does perspective work? A: Lines that are parallel, like roads or railway tracks, appear to meet at a faraway point called the vanishing point. Q4: How can I practice perspective? A: Try sketching a street or a row of buildings and notice how they look smaller as they go farther away. Q5: What does this sketch show? A: The road becomes narrower and the buildings look smaller in the distance — a simple example of perspective.

The silent message of an old lady with a smart phone

The Silent Messages of an Old Lady with a Smartphon.

In today’s fast-changing world, technology has become an inseparable part of daily life. Smartphones, once considered a luxury, are now a necessity. When we see an elderly person using a smartphone, it is not just a casual picture—it carries profound messages for all of us.------

*The first message is about adaptability. Age is often associated with rigidity, but when a senior citizen learns to use modern devices, it shows that learning has no expiry date. It reminds us that we, too, should keep our minds open to change, no matter how old we grow.--------

*The second message is about bridging generations. A smartphone connects the elderly with their children and grandchildren across distances. It reduces loneliness, gives them a sense of belonging, and creates a common platform of communication. It tells the younger generation that technology should not isolate but unite families. -----

*The third message is about wisdom in modern times. An elderly person brings with them decades of experience, patience, and perspective. When they use a smartphone, it shows how timeless wisdom can flow through modern channels. Their messages, blessings, and advice delivered digitally still carry the same weight as words spoken in person. --------
*Finally, it is a message of hope and courage. Many older people struggle with new gadgets, but those who persevere inspire us. They prove that courage is not about strength or youth but about willingness to try, even when it seems difficult.----

*In the simple image of an old lady using a smartphone lies a powerful lesson:

life is about continuous learning, adaptation, and communication. She tells us silently that technology is not just for the young—it belongs to anyone willing to embrace it. --- “When an old hand holds a new phone, it carries timeless wisdom into the modern world.” “A smartphone in the hands of the elderly is not just technology—it is a bridge of love, memory, and connection.” “Her quiet perseverance with a smartphone teaches us that learning has no age.” “In the gentle touch of an old lady on a screen lies a powerful message for the young: never stop adapting.”

The arch

my sketch enhanced with the help of ChatGPT. Blog Text: This coloured arch is inspired by traditional Indian architecture. The graceful curves, the lotus motif at the crown, and the ornamental pillars together symbolize beauty and harmony. Such arches are not just decorative but also reflect the cultural spirit of India, where art and architecture blend to create a sense of welcome and reverence.
