Vintage India.. sketch

Drawing has always been a deeply personal way to connect with the world, but there is a special magic in bringing the past to life on paper. As a self-taught artist, I often turn to vintage photographs as my primary reference material, especially those that capture the timeless elegance of yesteryear films and classical actors.

There is something profoundly nostalgic about translating these moments into art. With a trusty pen or pen pencil in hand, I love diving into the fine details of these old photographs, carefully working to capture the distinct expressions, the lifted neck postures, and the natural flow and volume of hair that defined the styling of that era.

These sketches are more than just regular drawing practice; they are a bridge to the eras and memories I hold dear. Sharing these reimagined pieces on my blog, Reverie, allows me to preserve the charm of the past through my own artistic lens.
