Rukmini Arundale - Pencil drawing

My pencil drawing to pay tribute to Rukmini Devi Arundale on her birth anniversary today. (29 February 1904 – 24 February 1986. She was an Indian theosophist, dancer and choreographer of the Indian classical dance form of Bharatnatyam, and an activist for animal rights and welfare.

Rukmini Devi features in India Today's list of '100 People Who Shaped India'. She was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 1956, and Sangeet Natak Akademi Fellowship in 1967.

ఎంతవరకు ఈ మనసు అంధకారాన్ని ఎదుర్కొంటుంది?
సమసిపోతుంది ఉదాసీనత ఎప్పుడో ఒకప్పుడు.
సుఖదుఃఖాలు వస్తూ పోతూంటాయి జీవిత సత్యాన్ని తెలుపుతూ.
ఆకురాలుకాలం కొద్దిరోజులు మాత్రమే
పూలవనం మళ్ళీ కళకళలాడుతుంది కొత్త చిగురులతో
ప్రచండ మారుతం వీచినా, అంతరంగంలో అగ్నిశిఖలు రగులుతున్నా
ఆత్మవిశ్వాసాన్ని నిలుపుకొని అడుగు ముందుకు వెయ్యి
పడిలేచే కడలి తరంగాలు తీరాన్ని చేరుతూనే ఉంటాయి
